Bikey Update

I love the fact that bikes have made this fall even more enjoyable than usual.

I love that we've gotten to spend so much family time on the bikes.  Getting on them each weekend was our goal, and we generally succeeded, sometimes we had to go without Adam, but we often were able to find friends to ride with.

I love that we can to do the little errands around town on our bikes; chinese food pickup, pharmacy runs,  dry cleaners, library visits, Thursday's farmers market, Saturday morning diner visits,  and pick-up from after school programs.

I love it that I was able to take Gracie to preschool each school day in September, minus a few rainy days.  October was pretty successful too, although we switched to mostly picking her up rather than the chilly morning drop off.  I think I can continue the pickup through November and we'll see how December goes.  I just need to get more serious about outfitting us for the cold properly.  I need to get some gloves and the kids and I need warm hats that can fit under our helmets, but with those adjustments, riding in the 35-40 degree range should be do-able and not too unpleasant.

I love that we discovered awesome new places to ride, just in our small town. One time we stumbled upon a model airplane training field and got to see a helocopter in motion.

I love that smiles and well wishes that I get as I ride my crew through town.  No one can resist our cuteness.
And I love that with biking, Jillian workouts, and actually tracking what I was eating,  I lost those pesky five pounds that were making my pants tighter than they should be.
Happy Fall Riding!
