Gracie finishes Kindergarten

Oh, I so love having a kindergartener.  They are the absolute best to watch as the school year progresses.  They start out so tiny and unsure and end the year confident, full of new skills, and happy.  And Gracie was no exception.  Just watch her as she sings her heart out on these little songs.  And I am so beyond proud that our school had them sing "God Bless America".  We may live in a state that votes blue, but our little town is god fearing and Red through and through.

The New School Year

For the 2013-2014 school year we have a 5th grader, 3rd grader, new kindergartener, and a preschooler.  Those school mornings just got busier.

Too bad preschool didn't start for a few more days.  He was one sad, sad boy that morning.

My little kindergartner.

5th graders get to "travel" to thier different classes and Ellie is excited.

Emma is a big dog in school now that she is a third grader.

Off she went.

With a wave goodbye.

The after school check up.

Poor Gracie came home hot and sweaty and a bit grumpy.  I knew she wasn't in the mood to talk as she marched her way into her room and loudly shut the door behind her.  After a few minutes alone whe was happy to come out and tell us about her day.  She thought her teacher was really nice, but she was not a fan of all the rules and she didn't get to play long enough;)

Finally a few days later, this boy got to head to school.
He is going to the same preschool as all the other girls and we already knew all the teachers.
We were ready.

Yup, still riding to school.

He was comfortable right away and so the littlest man and I snuck out for a little breakfast break.

Happy New School Year
