A Trip for Two Please

My husband is very proud of his work,  the company he gets to manage, and he is proud of their product.  There are only a handful of men in the world that I know of that love a pool cover like he does.  They all work for Coverstar, btw.  Thats how you know you're getting the best.

Well, Adam is so constantly proud of his covers that often on road trips with the family he pipes up with his familiar statement, "We've got a cover over here."  as he points into the trees towards a nearby neighborhood.  We always laugh and then supportingly ask the important questions that he dying to answer.
"Really?
What size is it?
Was it a big job?
Did you have any problems with it?
Tell me they didn't order the Forest Green?!?"
and so forth.

But this week, Adam had a chance to install yet another cover.  And from now on, whenever we pass over the Virgin Islands(haha) I will be reminded that he has a pool cover over there.
(Adam, I'm teasing, kinda).

So this was such a sweet deal.  Adam installs a pool cover on the Virgin Island of Tortola for a few days.  I go with him and help him a bit.  We leave the kids with a great sitter and friend.  We get to stay in a SWEET villa.  And we have the rest of the week to ourselves.

The view from the plane, the airport, and beach a 2 minute walk from the airport.
Virgin Gorda's Baths, gigantic rocks with very awesome snorkeling.

I was in charge of putting sunscreen on his back.  Obviously it is not a job I will be given again.
And here is Adam's signature shot.  It never fails, whenever I give him the camera I end up with a couple rear end shots.  Thanks, hon.  I've got quite a collection now.

You better believe I napped, in my outdoor living room to boot.

The island was a bit different than I expected.  After our extensive trip into the Dominican Republic last year to visit Adam's old mission field, I was pretty sure I could handle any primitive situations that would arise, but I found the island to be quite amenable.  Grocery stores, shopping, gas stations that use Debit cards.  We were able to call our kids on Skype and show them the views.  Adam did have to drive on the left side of the road, but the restaurants had good food and the beaches and ocean were warm and wonderful.  We got to spend the week together and it was really nice.  We cooked together and did the dishes together, which takes like two minutes when there is only two of you.  We chatted and discussed. We worked together, which was actually pretty fun, and we had great times at the beaches.  We arrived home safe and sound and happy to be married.  Our kids had a great week too.  I left them a little goody bag with a few fun things for each day we were gone.  So between those little gifts and our good friend Kathy letting them run the house, they hardly missed us.

So a huge Thank you to Scott Swimming Pools for asking us to
bring you the very best in pool covers.
It was a tough job, but somebody's got to do it.

Also, you're house is gorgeous.  You are so kinds to let us stay.
We loved it.
