Winter Storm Nemo of Feb 2013

We may be a little derranged around here, but news of upcoming blizzards excite us.  It would be a very different story if either one of us had long commutes into work, or had jobs that required set hours, or a career that was busy during these types of storms, say power companies or snowplowers or oil delivery persons or retail stores.  But we are lucky, I don't work-for money anyways- and Adam's winter work is far less structured while his commute is less than 2 miles.  So when we hear of a winter storm a-comming we can hunker down for as long as we want.  Except if he's got important commitments.  And this week he did.  He is missing all the fun at a Home Show in Albany.

Friday Night and into Saturday morning.
With Adam snowed in for an Albany Home Show, it was up to me and my trusty
snowblower to clear the driveway.
(I hate it if my ears get cold).

Later in the afternoon, I got all of them dressed to go outside and to blow out some energy in hopes of an early bedtime.

"Thanks Mom for shoveling those great walls around the trampolin!  Its the best snow fort ever," is what I made my kids say to me.

Happy Storm "Nemo" to you!!
Looking forward to tomorrow with mixed feelings.
Church was cancelled...yea!...and.....drat....staying home some more.
I might have to start really praying if I want school to be open for Monday.
I am a bit exhausted.

What a woman! I would have called someone to do the driveway for me. We had shortened church today. Still nice. :)

Holy hannah. I so want to play in the snow! You know: for a minute. Then I want to fly back to AZ :)
