I got a Caribbean island get away with my husband!!
For five days and nights, Adam's parents watched all five of our children so Adam and I could attend his Coverstar Convention in St. Thomas. It was so amazing! Having a company paid for vacation, not a worry at all for the kids, since they are in the best of hands, and all the sleep I could want. Adam's meetings were in the mornings while I either slept in very very late or hung out with the other "wives" by the pools and in the afternoons we were free to wander the island.
The three top things on the island were: going to the highest point on the island and seeing the view(Mountain Top), snorkeling at the East end of the island(Coki Beach), and our sponsored catamaran boat trip and snorkeling scavenger hunt with the sea turtles(Turtle Bay at Buck Island).
We had hopes of visiting St. Johns, a nearby island that is reserved mostly as a National Park with great hiking and snorkeling, but there was never quite enough time. We should have also liked to visit Magen's bay on the north side of St. Thomas. It is supposed to be incredibly calm and clear.
But just being with my man was enough. I kept seeing families with car seats and strollers and babies and I felt free. Free from all that hassle, all that stress, and all that STUFF that little people need.
Hahaha, I do love my babies, I promise!
This is Marc and his wife Elaine. Have I ever introduced them on the blog?
They are the ones who have kept us on the East coast for so long(just kidding).
They are the owners of the East Coast distributors of Coverstar and Adam's bosses. But really they are like our other set of parents. We lived in their house in Maryland when we first moved East. Our Ellie was born while we were there. Everyday while Adam was away during those long summer work days, Ellie and I would go upstairs and visit the home office which was the main hub of Coverstar in those days. Elaine would get her baby snuggles in and I would read the mail. We joked it was the best parts of our day, Elaine got a baby for a few minutes and I got a few minutes of peace from my constant entertaining of said baby:)
But we sure have valued both their friendship over the years and the awesome company my husband has got to be involved in for the last 12 years! I think it is so cool to think that as many as fifty families can depend on the earnings of this little company that Elaine and Marc have built.
GO Small businesses!
Looks like the Jolly Roger could com around the bend at any moment, right?
