Emma is 6!!

My Emma had her birthday.  She has been waiting and waiting to be home for her birthday so she could celebrate with her school friends, but luck would have it that last Friday was a snow day.  But the storm held off long enough for us to invite her two good friends over for a little party.

Sometimes just the simplest games give the most fun.
Thank goodness.
This little made up game the girls came up with kept them busy for a good while.
Just enough for me to get the party ready.

Easy Bake Time!

Happy Birthday big girl!  Wow, 6.  You know that means my kids are  7, 6, 2, and 1.  Whew.
But we are excited about all that you do, our Emma.
You are still our singer, always!  In the bathroom, in the car, or at many other random moments.
You are now too old for Dora you tell us, but you'll still watch it if Gracie wants too.
But you are still not on board with all the things Ellie likes.
We are working on sight words and writing and adding.
You like your piano lessons.
You are trying out a little attitude at times to see how it works.
Hopefully you'll give it up soon.
We still try hard to keep you on tasks and are easily distracted,
but we love love you and all you bring to our family.
