Tomorrow Emma goes to Kindergarten.
I can't believe the ways I am going to miss her.
What am I going to do, when I try to find her and expect to see her engrossed in some intricate imaginary game? What happens when I get down to the basement and find it exactly as I left it?
No couch cushions strewn, no toys organized in zany ways, no homemade stores or forts or spaceships.
No glue and scissors and papers and cardboard boxes littering the mudroom( the place she likes to hide when she recycles). I am going to have to do the dishes all by myself with no one else to "wash" with me. No one to watch morning cartoons with except Gracie and all she likes is Dora-uggh.
Daddy is still trying to talk her out of staying home and not growing up,
but I don't think she'll be convinced.
Tomorrow Emma goes to Kindergarten.
I love the music she drew up for her drum solo.
