Do you get colds in the winter because it is cold outside?

I love blogging at night. By then all the tantrums and traumas of the day have cooled in your memory and you are left smiling at all the drama. Today Emma wasn't feeling well. She had a sore throat and was tired and sick. But mostly she was tired of being sick! The poor girl has had her run of the sickies( we all have). While in Arizona we caught a nasty stomach bug and we left with colds. Emma's cold has turned into a sore throat and she is just done.
"Mom, I am going to be sick ALL Winter?"
"Can't we open up the windows and let all the germs out?"
"It's Ellie's fault, she gave me the coughes, but I gave her the throwups."

And while she was feeling particularly miserable she was laying on my lap and who should appear with a problem about that? Yes, my trusty Gracie could not stand for me to have Emma on my lap. She would come over and give her a little hit and try to take her kitten away and generally show her discuss at not being doted upon.

That little one will need some training before we think about bringing anyone else into the family. Maybe a good dose of Grandma will cure her of her attachment to me. I guess we will see in Feb. Adam and I are planning a trip to the Dominican Republic where he served his mission. He has always wanted to go back and after 10 years we are going. Don't worry, they have great resorts down there, or so I've been told!?!

I'm sorry. We've all been sick here too. It is miserable. How fun to get to go back to Adam's mission. I would love to go on that type of a vacation, but... not to where Brad went. not right now.

We all left with a cold too... and we are still trying to get over it. What is with that?
