Ours was super. I guess I never realized how fun Thanksgiving can actually be. Unlike Christmas which can fall on any day of the week, Thanksgiving always comes on a Thursday insuring at least a four day weekend, and this year I was able to scam out a few extra vacation days.
The girls had school on Monday, and for Tuesday and Wed Adam voluteered to take Ellie on a road trip to Saracuse, New York. Even with the nine hours of driving Tuesday and six on Wednesday they still had a blast. Ellie was so cute when she was packing the night before they left. She put her fanciest night gown and her sparkly slippers in her suitcase for her night in the hotel. She made sure she had the cargers for her DS and DVD player. She was extactic at the thought of eating out so many times in the coming days.
Adam said she was a real helper during the jobs that he had to do, and a good traveler. She didn't fall asleep once in the truck and kept him alert with her constant jabber.
And what did Emma, Gracie and I do while those two were out playing? Not much, it was nice to relax and do a bit of Thanksgiving prep, but mostly I enjoyed not breaking up any arguments for a couple of days.
