Before Ellie was born, my mom found me a hand-me-down crib which she replaced the mattress support and I carefully painted to make it suitable for my precious yet very thrifty baby girl. The crib lasted pretty well until Emma was two and her morning dance was no match for the slim crib. We quickly moved her into her big girl bed, but could the crib survive another child?

To my excitement and to Adam's disappointment, his efforts of stabilizing the crib with pool cover parts failed, not to mention it looked a bit "trashy", and I was allowed to shop for a new one.(I don't know why he put up such a fuss about fixing the old one. He hated to put it together or adjust the mattress level and swore each time he did.)

We found this "baby" on criagslist, (my first craigslist find) and we couldn't be happier. And after tax season Grandma promises to send a matching quilt.

I love how your husband tried to fix the old crib with pool cover parts! Sounds like something mine would do.
