Just to begin, this story seems oddly familiar with this one.
Since moving into our house three years ago, I have been the designated lawn mower. I don't mind, it is kind of relaxing doing a chore that looks done when you are finished, instead of things like the laundry or dishes that are never really done. And I love the smell of freshly cut grass( its a farm girl thing).
One thing that I did mind was the awful mower that Adam found at a garage sale. It didn't have a muffler, the back wheel fell off many times, the control to the throttle was no longer connected to the handle, you had to adjust it on the front of the machine, and lastly it didn't have a kill switch. To turn the machine off you had to touch a certain wire to the frame of the mower. In many words it was a total pain.
So this summer, the summer I am pregnant, is supposed to be Adam's summer to mow the lawn. He put it off as long as he could by keeping his Saturday's as scheduled as he could. But after I had to ask one of our friends to come and mow for me, he relented and accepted his fate.
Last Saturday he got up and proceeded to mow, he mowed the front yard and then disappeared for a good couple of hours to later return with a brand new mower, completely self propelled!!

And here he is still trying to get out of mowing.

HAHA, that's a funny story, way to get a new lawn mower. Beautiful lawn Adam and Ellie, job well done!
That is a great story. You should save that one for posterity sake....You sure do know how to get the job done.
Ok, so Adam, did you like mow the lawn too much when you were a kid? So, lesson to learn here is believe you wife! (what a trooper she is)
Kayla, I have to agree with you and tell you I really like mowing too, and for the same reasons!
Oh my that is very funny, I'm just lol on this one.
I think pregnancy has a way of bringing into our husband's focus just how much extra work we do!
