123 Book Tag

I was tagged by Tricia,

Here are the rules:

  • Find the book closest to you with at least 123 pages.
  • Turn to page 123.
  • Find the fifth sentence.
  • Post the next 3 sentences.
  • Tag 5 people.

"A girl cannot dream of much beyond marriage and children."
"A typical girl, yes. But you, I think, are far from typical."
I smiled at that, 'I did have a dream once, but_"

A funny story about this book, "Lost Memoirs of Jane Austen." Last week I attended a Becoming Jane party hosted by RAE, and I won this book in her drawing. The funny thing is that I'm not that big of a Jane Austen fan. I have seen a couple of the movies, but have never read any of the books. The wordiness, the length, the silly characters have really never interested me. Perhaps this book will change my mind, perhaps not.

I tag Tanjua, Cassie, Amber, Kim, and Jordan.

Me too. Let me know if the book is any good. Thanks again for coming to my movie night...even though Jane is not your favorite! :O)

Silly characters? Girl, Elinor Dashwood and Elizabeth Bennet are two of the strongest female characters in literature! Sure, there are silly characters too, but aren't there really people in life like that too? Try reading Pride and Prejudice & Sense and Sensibility... my bet is that you'd end up liking them. Although I will admit that the book (and the movie) Emma is just plain annoying ;)
