She had a new dance that she was just dying to perform for him.

When he didn't show right away, she went and got a snack.
During her wait Ellie wanted to know if I knew any real ballerinas.
"Grandma was a real ballerina." I said and to which she replied,
"Did you ever want to be a ballerina?"
"No, not really. I wanted to be a basketball player."
"WHY?" she asked with her air of distaste.
Oh, what to do with these girly-girls?

I say ship to an island and let them be girlie-girls out of sight. I hear your pain. Ugh!
Girly is WONDERFUL! I say you keep on leting her be a cute ballerina. Everyone is different :o) She looks so pretty!
I LOVE the pictures!! How pretty Ellile looks! I desperately wanted to be a wonderful dancer growing up. Unfortunately, I trip just walking a straight line. Grace is NOT my middle name!
My sister was the total sports fanatic in school and never into girly-girl stuff. She now has a 6 year old who is soooooo girly it's not even funny. She understands where you're coming from! You'll both make it through.....
So did she wait until Adam got home?
so precious, Sharon
OK- I know I didn't cry when I found out I was having a boy, but I almost JUST lost it!!! Loved the pics...you know I love those girly girls. :))))
