My Family in NYC

A visit from family means a trip to New York City. And here is mine, my Dad, Mom, little brothers Jacob and Kurtis, and littlest sister Shanna. We were only missing my brother Robert, his wife Christine who will be having a baby next month, and my sister Lisa, who loves being a nurse so much she wanted to work on Thanksgiving :)

We did the normal stuff, riding subways, eating from street vendors, strolling along the Macy's store displays, visiting the Statue of Liberty, but we did one thing a little out of our ordinary family tour. We went to the top of the Empire State Building! It was so Cool. The day was raining and cloudy, so our view was severly limited by the clouds but what we did see was pretty awesome. Also, no waiting in line, because most people decided it wasn't worth the trouble to see clouds and a few buildings, but we had tickets we had to use, so we went on up.

On a clear day can see something like 80 miles, so we missed alot. In this view you can't even see the end of Manhatten, so it was only clear enough for a few couple of miles.

Here they are in the cattle squeeze before being loaded onto the ferry for Liberty Island.

Their first sight of the Statue of Liberty.
