I don't know how or by whom she got the idea, but Ellie has bugged me since the beginning of Fall that we must make a scarecrow. I took her to Walmart in hopes of taking the easy way out and showed her the cute scarecrows they had for sale, only $6, but she wouldn't budge. "No, Mom we have to MAKE a scarecrow."
So Monday night, Adam changed the oil in my car and we made a scarecrow. I should rephrase that, I made a scarecrow, because for all her talk about making the thing, she sure didn't do much stuffing of hay.

So cute...and I'm WAY impressed that Ellie can practically write her name. Truman has a signature "mark", but that's about it.
I'll have to let Sam know you named your scarecrow after him. I'm just kidding, your scarecrow is awfully cute, I'm so impressed Ellie can write her name she's such a smart girl, you'd think she was closer to my Justin's age instead of my little Chelsey's.
