Amazingly enough, I really do like working with the cub scouts. They are a fun, fun bunch of boys. Their enthusiasm is unmatched, their willingness to help is stellar, and thier potty jokes are at their peak. This year by far, the funnest thing the boys got to do was construct these soap box cars and race them. It was a morning of patients and long suffering for the leaders as we helped them hammer in nails, measure and divide, set screws, and discover how bolts and nuts work, but finally they were finished and we could race!
They even let Emma, my sidekick for the day, have a race too.
Boy were the other kids jelous when she showed up at home with a tool apron and tales of a race car. They had spent a boring day in the car driving around to jobs with Adam.
