Afternoon Sun

My favorite window in our house in the bay window in our living room.  It faces west and while in the summer it can be a nuisance it is perfectly wonderful for sunny winter afternoons.   The wind can be blowing and the drifts can be drifting, but the sun still comes in and warms my living room right up.  You will find my curled up on that couch most afternoons when it finally gets a little quiet around here.   We also use our window as our lookout.   It is our wave goodbye window.  It is our watch for the school bus window.  It is the spy on our neighbors window.  But best of all, it is the dancing window.  I was folding clothes to some music yesterday afternoon when two little toddlers came up begging for their turn around the dance floor.  So I twirled little Gracie and swung little buddy and the sunlight came in and the cold stayed out and there were laughs and laughs.  And these are not the first set of toddlers that have danced here.  It goes without saying that if we ever move, this window will be the thing I miss the most.
