Airplane Survival Kit

  • Large duffel bag
  • Portable DVD player
  • 8 hour battery for DVD player
  • 2 sets of headphones with splitter
  • three new or favorite DVDs
  • salty snack- Goldfish
  • sweet snacks- Fruit snack, Teddy Grahams, and Twistlers
  • sippy cups
  • milk for the little one
  • bubble gum
  • small inexpensive actions figures(ours are ponies of course)
  • colored pencils
  • 2 new coloring books
  • new story books
  • new activity books- the sticker books from Costco are the best
  • diapers and pull-ups(even for the four-year old because airplane bathrooms are always busy)
  • change of clothes( we usually bring pjs)
  • favorite stuffed animal(again ours is a pony)
  • And don't bother bringing anything for you to do because you as the parent will spend your time keeping the kids from kicking the seat in front of them, hustling them to the bathroom(together of course), filling sippy cups, coloring along with them, and showing them where the sticker go.

Ugh! I'm not looking foward to flying that trip in a week. Guess I better rethink my packing ideas. Thanks for the tips.
