A few weeks ago, while shopping with the girls, we found some really cool candy sprinkles shaped as animal. "Those would be great for cookies, " my eldest daughter tells me, and so we bought them. I was just asking for trouble. Baking sugar cookies and frosting and decorating require an enormous amount of time and I was just not ready to commit myself. Then an idea hit me, I remembered that when my grandmother returned to Holland for a visit she brought home a type of chocolate sprinkle that you ate with bread. And here is our version of "Ruijter," which according to Ellie was very tasty.
